Microdermabrasion Training

Microdermabrasion training is necessary for those looking to perform the procedure. Not just anybody can perform microdermabrasion treatments. It takes many hours of training and certification before you will be allowed to perform professional treatments. After becoming certified in a beauty or trade school you will have to purchase the equipment necessary to perform procedures or find a job in a spa or doctors' office.

Microdermabrasion Classes

Because certification is required, it takes training and a series of microdermabrasion classes before a person can perform the procedure on their own. Most institutions require between fourteen and thirty hours of supervised training and a passing score on a practical exam before certification is granted.

Microdermabrasion Equipment

The first thing that you will need to successfully perform microdermabrasion treatments is the correct microdermabrasion equipment. A filtering machine that both filters used crystals and provides power for the treatment is one of those necessesary items. You will also need the hand held device that smoothes the crystals over the treatment area. Other accessories including filters, tubing, and specific device tips will also be needed.

Microdermabrasion Machines

Microdermabrasion machines are used to provide power and a number of other services. The most recent machines can perform filtration techniques while you are performing a procedure. The machine acts as a vacuum allowing a handheld device to massage exfoliating crystals around the skin.

Microdermabrasion Schools

Microdermabrasion schools aren't difficult to find as most beauty schools and vocational institutions that have a beauty or massage program offer courses in microdermabrasion. To be a certified technician you are required to complete between 14 and 30 hours of supervised training as well as pass a practical exam.
